Introduction

We are a group of liberal-minded Christians, free from denominational or doctrinal constrains.

• Do you have doubts of faith? 
• Do you find what learned from school (especially science classes) contradicts with what learned from the church? 
• Do you feel the thinking and logic inside the church is out of touch with that outside the church? 
• Do you feel that you can use your brain normally outside the church; upon entering the church, you are asked to leave your brain at the door, you are asked to stop thinking, "don't ask, just have faith"? 
• Do you have a bunch of questions in mind, but when you ask your church brothers and sisters, they suspect that you have problem with your faith? 
• Your questions are suppressed in various ways: "human intelligence is limited," "God created logic, so can defy logic," "don't test your God," "human cannot understand God's mind," etc.)? 
• Are you dissatisfied with the traditional "model answers" provided by the church?
• Have you doubt that the real God might not be quite like the God described by the church?
• Do you feel that it is problematic to view all non-Christians as fallen, waiting for salvation?  Are good atheists, Buddhists, and Muslims making you confused? 
• You cannot accept the church teaches that the Bible is inerrant and you must follow all its teachings uncritically? 
• Have you, due to the above, been considered within the church as not faithful enough, disobedient to God, even suspected of turning away from God?
• Even you yourself began to doubt your own faithfulness and loyalty? 
• You cannot stand most of the churches turning a blind eye to social and political injustice, and the sufferings of the marginalized and the disadvantaged? 

If so, we are fellow travellers.  Because we have similar experience.  So we decided to form the Progressive Christian Fellowship, to create a space in which we can freely explore and practice our faith.  Here, independent thinking is appreciated, questions are encouraged, unique understandings of faith are respected.  Here, we speak our conscience, we build a home of faith together, we support each other to grow the spiritual life.

我們是一群思想自由的基督徒，不受宗派背景或教義信條限制。

• 你是否發現在學校（尤其科學課）所學到的治學方法及知識與從教會所學到的有重要的差距？

• 你是否感到在教會門外可正常地用腦袋思考；踏入教會的時候卻被要求先在門口放下腦袋，暫停思考，暫停發問，「不要問，只要信」？
• 你是否心中有一堆疑問，在教會發問時卻被弟兄姊妹懷疑你的信心有問題？
• 你的問題甚至被以各種方式（人的智慧有限；神創造了邏輯；所以不受邏輯規範；不要試探你的主；神的心意不是你能理解的…）打壓下去？
• 你是否不滿教會提供的傳統標準答案？
• 你是否懷疑真正的神是不是就像教會所講述的神一樣？
• 你是否感到把所有非基督徒看成待救的失喪者很有問題？良好的無神論者、佛教徒、及穆斯林的存在是否令你困惑？
• 你是否不能接受教會將聖經故事毫無保留地相信；把經文當成無誤的命令，不照著做就是罪？
• 你是否因此在教會內被認為是不夠順服，感到狐單，甚或被懷疑你的信心不穩？
• 甚至你自己也開始懷疑自己對信仰的忠誠？
• 你是否看不過眼教會對社會及政治事務不聞不問，對社會上的邊緣群體及弱勢社群的迫切需要視若無睹？

如果是，我們便是同路人。因為我們的經驗都與你的相似。所以我們決定在傳統教會之外另外組成一個進思基督徒團契，共同開創一片自由探索及實踐信仰的空間。在這裡，獨立思考被認同，疑問被鼓勵，對信仰的獨特理解被尊重。這裡海闊天空；我們可以無束縛地憑良心說話，共同建設信仰的家，互相守望，提昇靈命。
